The 1999 E.I.N.S. walk behind tractor show took place on Aussiedlung Pflugsheide in Kälbertshausen, Germany on 5 September.
While entering the show ground, visitors were warned for crossing walk behind tractors. The sign was brought by Peter Eschwieler, founder of the EINS.
My father and I brought 4 machines. This picture shows a 9 hp twin cilinder Howard Rotary Hoe, my Roof lawn mower and a 6 hp Holder E6 with vaious attachments.
As there was no nearby river, my 1959 Bungartz FRNK was set pumping wather from the ground's owner's fishing pond. The tractor is powered by a 7 hp Berning diesel engine, the pump was made in Holland by HA-ES.
My father brought his 1962 Holder E6 with various attachments: rotary cultivator, plough, rotary mower, sickle bar mower and high pressure pump.
Walk behind tractor specialists Bruno Baumann and Gerhard Maurer are discussing the 10 hp Sachs diesel engine of a Hansa Schmiedag tractor.
Monax walk behind tractor with 10 hp Sachs two stroke diesel engine, used to drive people around on the grounds.
IRUS collector and co-organisator of the event Karl-Heinz Fries brought several IRUS tractors and attachments to the show.
Of course, the walk behind tractors got the chance to show their performance. Here a 4 hp Agria 2100 pulls a Deutz tractor for several meters, but then it starts digging itself in.
At the other end of the power spectrum, Gerhard Maurer's 14 hp Bungartz U1D had no trouble pulling the Deutz all around the show ground! The 1952 walk behind tractor is powered by a Stihl two stroke diesel engine and was neatly restored by Gerhard a few years ago. He has been pulling attention with it on various shows.
This is about the maximum that the 14 hp Bungartz U1D can pull: the wheels started digging theirselves in, but it managed to come over the hill after all.
This small HaKo tiller came through the hole as well, but only in the other direction, so that the hill helped gaining speed.
This Hirth powered Agria 1800 walk behind tractor was also used to drive some people over the show ground. It had some difficulty coming out ouf the hole with this heavy load.
Karl-Heinz Fries shows that his MWM powered IRUS tractor has no trouble whatsoever driving through the hole.
The winners of the racing, pulling etc. were honoured with various nice prices.
My father and I won the prize for the longest ride to the show, ca. 600 km. But it was worthwile!
I would like to thank the Fries family for organising this nice event!
