On one of his numerous demonstration trips into the USA, Konrad von Meyenburg's inventions left such a good impression, that the well-known agricultural machinery producer Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company in Milwaukee sent their chief engineer Max Patitz to Basel (Switzerland) in 1913. For the price of $US 10,000 plus a 6% royalty, his companiy aquired the manufacturing rights for the USA.
